Responsibilities

• To ensure timely and accurate completion of management reports, financial statements, income tax computations and preparation of statutory financial statements.
• Preparation of budgets, forecast and variance analysis.
• Responsible for company tax planning and legal matters.
• Liaise with auditors, authority department, company secretary and other regulatory/third parties to ensure compliance with all matters relating to audit, tax and legal requirements.
• Cashflow management and control.
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
• To initiate business process improvement, review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures.
• Communicate with Manager and/or Director on work status and client issues that arise.

Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting discipline and/or Professional Accountancy Qualifications (ACCA/CIMA)/ MIA Membership.
• At least 5-8 years of working experience in accounting functions, with at least 3 years in an executive/ managerial role. Prior working experience in accounting functions will be considered for junior level position.
• Working knowledge of Financial Reporting Standards and Malaysian Income Tax Legislation would be an added advantage.
• Experience in using MYOB / Auto Count Accounting Software.
• Experience in using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word or WPS and Adobe Acrobat.
• Excellent communication and report writing skills.
• Language proficiency in English, Bahasa Malaysia and Chinese.
